For those of you who haven’t heard of the Dún Laoghaire Residents Association, we would like to introduce ourselves.

Dun Laoghaire Central Residents Association is made up of a group of residents from resident associations across the Dun Laoghaire area, who came together to address what we felt was a sense of stagnation that has lingered over our beautiful town for years

We strongly feel that the solution to many of Dun Laoghaire’s problems can be found within the people of Dun Laoghaire itself, and that the path to Dun Laoghaire’s successful future, can be found by looking at its unique history, environment and heritage.

We first met at the end of 2018 and our first endeavour was our Residents Survey. We asked residents and visitors to Dun Laoghaire to tell us what they loved about the town and what issues they would like to tackle if they could. You will see some of the results on page 3 of this our first newsletter.

Our mission in the DLCRA is to provide a forum for the residents of Dun Laoghaire Town to work together on areas of common interest to effect change.  We want to give a voice to the residents and to help the different sectors of Dun Laoghaire to work together – the businesses, the Council, the community groups— working together to revitalise Dun Laoghaire, restore the town and give our community a pride of place.

We are working to build relationships and constructive links with all residents across the town, from York Road to the Peoples Park, from the sea to Cualanor and welcome additional associations, as we believe as a community we are stronger when we come together! 

We will use this newsletter as our way to keep you up to date for future activities and events and welcome your ideas and support.
